MoverChecked is a price reference for people planning a long-distance move in the United States, written for the two questions that arrive in the same week: is this quote fair, and is this company real.
Why this site exists
Search for what a cross-country move costs and you will find figures that differ by a factor of five, almost none of which say what they include or whether they are pricing an hourly local job or an interstate one. Meanwhile the estimate on your table is for a real household, a real route and a real carrier, and none of those published averages help you judge it.
Worse, most of the sites answering that question are paid when your details reach a moving company. That is a legitimate business, but it is not a neutral one, and it shapes what gets published.

Information, not advice
Everything here is general market and regulatory information. It is not legal advice, and it is not advice about your specific move or your dispute with a carrier. If something has gone wrong with a move, federal complaint routes exist and a licensed professional in your state can advise you. Our job is to help you understand the numbers and the public record before you sign.
How the site is run
MoverChecked is run independently as a small personal project, not as a company. That keeps the scope narrow and means no sales team has any influence over the figures.
How it is funded
Through advertising, disclosed on every page. Advertisers have no input into how ranges are calculated and no sight of them before publication. If that ever changes, this page will say so.
