How this site decides what to publish, how figures are checked, and what happens when we get something wrong.

What we cover

Prices for long-distance and interstate moves in the United States, the federal rules that govern them, and how to verify a carrier before you sign. We do not cover commercial relocation, and we do not publish guidance on work that requires a licence.

Where figures come from

Every range is built from published pricing data restated to a single scope. The process, the limitations and the current gaps are documented on the method page. No figure appears on this site without a traceable source behind it.

We do not review companies

This is the clearest line we draw. We explain how to read the public record on a carrier. We do not publish verdicts on named companies, we do not host reviews, and we do not accept payment, affiliate commission or advertising placement from carriers or brokers in exchange for coverage. The judgement on any particular company is yours to reach from primary sources.

Review and revision

Ranges are reviewed twice a year and after any market event that materially changes pricing, such as a sustained fuel move or a regulatory change. Every page carries the date it was last checked.

Corrections

If a figure is wrong we change it, and substantive corrections are noted on the page rather than quietly overwritten. If you were quoted something outside our published range, that is useful information and it goes into the next revision.

How the content is produced

Drafting and structuring are done with the help of software tools. Verification is not. Every price, rule and figure is checked by a person against a named source before publication, and anything that cannot be verified is either marked as unknown or left out.

Third-party material

Where we use data from another publication we extract the figures and attribute the source. We do not reproduce other people’s text.

This site provides general information about market prices and federal requirements. It does not provide legal advice and cannot account for the specifics of your move or your dispute.
